Jesuk Lee - Lead Pastor

Pastor Jesuk holds an M.Div. degree in Pastoral Studies from Hapdong Theological Seminary and was ordained in 2012. He continued his studies in Canada, completing an M.A. in Christian Worldview at ACTS Seminary in 2017.

Starting in his mid-20s, Jesuk began his ministry journey, initially serving in the music ministry at Nam-Seoul Grace Church in Seoul, South Korea. Over the course of 15 years, he served as a pastor in various local churches in Korea and within immigrant congregations here in BC, Canada. In October 2021, following God's calling and vision, he planted God's Nest Church in Vancouver, aiming to build a community of Adullam and follow the path set by God.

Jesuk currently resides in Surrey with his wife Susie and their two children, Heeyoon and Danny.

Our Statement of Faith

God's Nest Church adopts the <Apostles' Creed> and the <Westminster Confession of Faith> as standard documents of faith and declares the following as our beliefs:

The Word of God

Inspiration and Inerrancy of the Bible, Its Authority

We believe that the Bible, in its original manuscripts, is completely inspired, without error, and the Word of God written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe it holds the highest authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Mark 13:31; John 8:31-32; John 20:31; Acts 20:32)

The Trinity

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the one true God who is eternally existent as three persons in one, known as the Holy Trinity. The Triune God is equal in every divine perfection, yet distinct in their roles in creation, providence, and the work of redemption, harmoniously carrying out their unique functions.

(Genesis 1:1, 1:26; John 1:1, 1:3; Matthew 28:19; John 4:24; Romans 1:19-20; Ephesians 4:5-6)

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, who is infinite, personal, and perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that God the Father, in His mercy, looks upon all human affairs, knowing all things that will come to pass, hearing and answering prayer, and saving from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

(Luke 10:21-22; Matthew 23:9; John 3:16; 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Timothy 1:1-2; 2:5-6; 1 Peter 1:3; Revelation 1:6)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the incarnation of the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and His imminent, personal, and visible return for His people.

(Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:1; 20:28; Romans 9:5; 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:21-23; John 20:30-31; Matthew 20:28; Ephesians 1:4; Acts 1:11; Romans 5:6-8; 6:9-10; Hebrews 7:25; 9:28; 1 Timothy 3:16)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells each believer in Christ, helping, teaching, and guiding them.

(John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26-27; 16:9-14; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; Galatians 5:22-26)

Regeneration

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God by God and, through sin, brought about physical, spiritual, and eternal death. Consequently, all people are born with a sinful nature and are, by choice, sinners, and therefore, are under condemnation. We believe that those who repent and turn away from sin, believing in Jesus Christ as their Savior, are born again by the Holy Spirit, become new creations, are delivered from condemnation, and receive the gift of eternal life.

(Genesis 1:26; 5:2; Genesis 3; Genesis 2:17; 3:19; Ecclesiastes 2:11; John 3:14; 5:24; John 5:30; 7:13; 8:12; 10:26; Romans 9:22; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 19:3, 20; 20:10, 14-15; 21:18; Psalm 51:7; Jeremiah 17:9; James 1:14; Romans 3:19; 5:19; Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 1:9; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:1)

The Church

We believe that Christ is the head, and His body consists of all living spiritual beings, the universal Church. We believe in the local church, composed of people who have believed in Jesus Christ, been baptized on the basis of a credible profession of faith, and come together for worship, ministry, and fellowship, grounded on a trustworthy confession of faith. We believe that God has given the primary task of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world to the members of the local church.

(Ephesians 2:19-22; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 5:19-21; Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:23-25)
